Verification, accounts, subscriptions and safety.

Verification
- What does the Verified badge mean?
- The Bishop verification team has looked at the licence and medical certificate you uploaded: that each matches the issuing authority format, that the names and details match your profile, and that neither had expired when it was reviewed. That is all it means.
- What does it not mean?
- It is not a licence validation, an employment check or an endorsement by any civil aviation authority. Operators remain responsible for their own checks before you fly for them.
- Who can see my documents?
- Only the Bishop verification team. Operators see the badge, not the files, and your licence number never appears on your profile. The scans sit in private storage, are reached only through links that expire, and are deleted within 90 days of review, whether the document was approved or rejected.
- My document was rejected.
- The verification team leaves a note saying why. The usual reasons are a cropped or blurred page, an expired certificate, or a name that does not match your profile. Fix it and upload again.
Your account and your data
- How do I delete my account?
- In the app: Settings, then Delete account. It asks you to confirm twice, deletes the account and signs you out. On the web: Your profile, at the bottom, where you type your email address to confirm. If you subscribe to Pilot Pro, cancel it in the App Store or Google Play as well; deleting the account does not stop a store subscription.
- What exactly is deleted?
- Everything tied to the account: your profile, your licence and medical scans, your applications, your availability posts, your feed posts, your connections and your messages, including your messages in conversations with other members. It happens immediately and cannot be undone; we cannot recover any of it.
- Can I get a copy of my data?
- Yes. Email us from the address on your account and ask for an export. We send it to that same address and nowhere else.
- I cannot sign in.
- Email us from the address on the account and tell us what happens when you try. We will send a password reset to that address and nowhere else. Never send us a password; we will never ask for one.
Pilot Pro and Operator Pro
- How do I cancel Pilot Pro?
- Pilot Pro is bought through the App Store or Google Play, so it is cancelled there, not here. On iPhone: Settings, your name, Subscriptions. On Android: Play Store, your profile, Payments and subscriptions. Cancelling stops the renewal; you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for. If you activated Pro with a prepaid code, there is nothing to cancel: it ends on its own.
- How do I cancel Operator Pro?
- Operator Pro is a business subscription billed on the web or by invoice. Email us and we will stop the renewal. Your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for.
- I paid and nothing unlocked.
- Open Subscription in the app and tap Restore purchases. If Pro still does not show, email us with the store you bought from, the date and the receipt if you have it, and we will put it right.
Safety and conduct
- Someone is behaving badly.
- In the app: open their profile and use Report or Block. Blocking is immediate and mutual: neither of you will see the other. On the web you can report a conversation from the conversation itself. Reports come straight to us and are read by a person.
- A job posting looks fake.
- Email us with the posting and what looks wrong. We would rather check 10 genuine postings than leave a false one up.
- Someone asked me to pay a fee for a job.
- Do not pay, and tell us straight away. No operator on Bishop should ever ask a pilot for money, and Bishop never charges a pilot to apply or to answer an urgent request.
